Rates and Availability Associate

 

Function description:

 

As a member of the rate and availability team your main responsibility will be to make sure that hotels are loading rates and availability in a way that will allow our hotels and Booking.com to maximize the conversion opportunities of the traffic we bring to the site.
The main focus of this role will be:

 

  • Ensuring hotels maintain rate parity for Booking.com against other accommodation providers
  • Ensure we have enough availability for short/mid/long term booking windows
  • Ensuring hotels maintain rate parity for Booking.com against other accommodation providers
  • Ensure the rates and availability is not just competitive against other sites but is also the correct level and variety to incentivize our clients to make confirmed bookings
  • First point of contact on a daily basis by mail and/or telephone to explain the importance of rate parity to the hotels and other employees
  • Follow-up of automated parity checks, perform manual checks for several projects
  • Collecting best practice examples and become experts in rate parity – assisting hotels and colleagues in solving rate parity issues
  • Updating intranet pages, ensuring that the information is up-to-date and accurate, handling feedback from the account managers

 


Requirements:


• Affinity/experience with the hotel industry;

  • 1-3 years of experience in a relevant sales/account management function;
  • Fluent in Danish and English
  • Pro-active, sense of responsibility, independent, customer friendly and target focused
  • Good communication and commercial selling skills
  • Team player, motivated and enjoy the sector of e-commerce and hospitality
  • Driver’s license
  • Hotel School or University background preferred
